How Job Seekers get a job OR a better job

What does a qualification do for job seeker?

Are you Koalafied?             What does a qualification do for job seekers?

Are qualifications worth it today? There’s heaps of stuff out there that talks about immigrants applying for qualifications, so that immigrant job seekers can qualify for entry into Australia.

But how do University and TAFE qualifications for Australians fit with the job market today?

Are you looking to earn better money in the future?  Today a University, TAFE or course of study will make a difference to help you get qualified and get a job earning more money.

Lots of job seekers are applying for jobs without having the qualifications that the job needs. In writing your Cover Letter and Resume be careful to look at how your skills and qualifications match what the employer is looking for.

You will benefit by looking at what the job advert requires and then applying to do the course you need to meet the job adverts requirements. Young job seekers will need to do this in the future if they hope to get a higher paid job.

Learning by studying to gain a qualification is a bonus, if you don’t have the chance to get experience. When you have studied the subject you have a better chance of being offered a job in the area you seek to gain employment.

Even if you have not completed your study, you could find opportunities open to you that did not exist before you started your study. Getting work experience in the field of your study is important to meet the selection criteria for a job advert.  Looking for volunteer work opportunities can open up the chance to move from a volunteer position to a paid part time or full time position.

Opportunities to be able to apply for a job that you couldn’t apply for before your study can appear unexpectedly as you move through your study.

Even on completion of your study remember to look at voluntary jobs to gain on the job experience.  As you get the practical experience you can then look at applying for a job that fits where you want to go.

Create your Cover Letter and Resume to meet the specific requirements of the job and you have a chance of getting that job that others will miss out on because they miss this one important point.
